February Meeting Presentation Topic: 

Introduction to Records Housed in the Office of City Clerk and an Overview of RM in Local Government

Speaker:
Jennifer Day has worked in The City of Oklahoma City’s Office of City Clerk for 4 years. She is a Certified Archivist and has been working with historical records since 2005. She was head of the Manuscripts Division at the Oklahoma Historical Society until December of 2012 when she accepted her current position The City of Oklahoma City. Jennifer maintains the records retention schedule and serves as a records management consultant for all departments. Her position as archivist includes preservation of permanent records as well as housing and destruction of short term records. In the four years since she was hired by the City, Jennifer has completed a remodel of the records storage in City Hall, a two-year grant project to inventory 1,200 c.f. of records, developed two museum-style exhibits in the lobby of City Hall, and is currently con-ducting a survey of RIM practices of various City departments.
