All about the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program @ the Oklahoma State University Library
For over 10 years, the OOHRP has documented Oklahoma’s history and culture, creating an actively growing archive of over 1,000 interviews. Milligan will discuss highlights from the collection, as well as current and ongoing research.
Sarah Milligan is the Head of the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program (OOHRP) at the Oklahoma State University Library. Currently, Milligan is responsible for managing the production, access, and preservation of the 1,000+ interviews in the OOHRP collection. She has worked extensively in oral history outreach, in-cluding providing training for new interview production as well as technical assistance to oral history collection holders throughout the state and country. Milligan is also a founding member of the Digital Public Library of America OKHub working group, an anchor trainer for the Library of Congress' Digital Preservation Outreach Education (DPOE) Train-the-Trainer program, a member of the 2011 class of the Developing History Leaders @ the Seminar for Historical Administrators and the 2015 class of Harvard's Library Leadership in a Digital Age. In 2017, she became the inaugural President for the Oklahoma Archivists Association.
