For a session on: Baracus Your Change

Stakeholders always approach you to proactively seek council on change initiatives, right? NO?! Very often, necessary analysis and resources are not considered (or downright avoided) when solutions are selected or defined. This can lead to significant delays, or even cancellation of change, which can become costly, frustrating and time consuming. It creates this viscous cycle of resistance to collaboration and mutual change enablement. Enter the Mr. T of the change world. BAs (Business Analysts) can leverage the BA discipline and associated techniques to not only ensure appropriate objective evaluation and design are engaged before implementation, but even be strategic and holistic with change efforts. (We really aren't that scary…really) In this session, we will introduce the idea of the BA, how to leverage the value of such on your change efforts and how to champion it in your organization.

Lora McCoy is a Certified Business Analysis Professional with over 20 years of experience performing Business Analysis activities as well as Quality Assurance, Project Management and more for change endeavors for many functional areas of a company. This experience spans varying company sizes in multiple industries including Banking and Finance, Service Management, Education, Retail and Oil and Gas. Her passion for helping others is evident in her passion for the profession of Business Analysis. She is dedicated to both the profession and those who perform the skill set for the profession. She currently engages daily in BA consulting efforts, educates for IIBA certification internationally and serves as the Director of Americas Central Region for the IIBA where she applies that passion in the form of mentorship and knowledge sharing.
